After the elimination of a total of 44 contesting nations, the field of contenders is reduced from 48 to a semifinal of 4 participating countries. So far, it has been a real thrilling 31 days of good matches, enjoying by millions of football/soccer fans around the world; especially in the USA, Mexico and Canada the hosting countries trio.
However, it’s understood that any colossal event as such, sometimes germinates some controversial debates. But the show is moving towards its most expected conclusion say, its goal which is the final match on Sunday July 19, 2026. Yes, we are now at the semifinal. Of the four countries left, two and only two will battle to bring the trophy home.
By Wednesday July 15, 2026 (the 35th) day of the tournaments, all ‘bets’ will focus on 2 teams, one of which will celebrate its victory for winning the formerly historic Jules Rimet trophy. Which two of the four? That’s the one $ million dollars question.
(1) Would it be France facing England or France facing Argentina?
(2) Would it be Spain vs Argentina or England vs Spain? No one knows. So, soccer fans, I’m enthusiastically waiting to watch the last matches. Are you with me? Yes, I know you are too.

A follow up
Friends, sometimes events are odds and puzzling. Imagine how much confidence that was put on the national team of France, that it was all the while heavily on top of the list to become the winner of the 2026 FIFA cup. And for us to watch, assist this stunning defeat, ho no! This deserves an explanation.
But I’m stunned, however not surprised. This is football. Sorry for the French people, their national team failed to add up “un brin de joie” to their bastille day of celebration.
Good luck to the remaining teams; which are Spain of cause, England and Argentina.
