Neither the gods of the Olympus (whether Hermes or others), nor any saints of good fortunes could help anyone’s case when it’s not the correct moment, especially in sports.
Tell me anything, but I still believe that football (soccer) is 50% of chance and 50% of performance like any other competitive game. Otherwise, there is no way the US women football, a team with such an enviable potentiality could have lost their match to Sweden.
They had the stamina; they had the determinations and surely a rare display of talents.
But none of that was enough to overcome their mal chance of the day. The outcome of the match was unexpected, they did not advance to the quarter. Though it hurt, but they lost with pride, and heaven! It really hurt.
Congratulations to the Sweden team, however the spotlight should reflect especially on the goalkeeper who plaid an excellent game.
